Milo oh Milo where have you been?

So life gets busy, and the first thing to go (mom says) is blogging!   We've had a whirlwind summer!  From my first time camping, to getting hives and finding out I have allergies, moving to my new house, to obedience training (passed!!) and getting my first puppy cold!  And now we're prepping for another camping trip!  Dr says I'll be fine since I'm on allergy medicine, so hopefully no more hivesies for me!

It's been a great summer!  We've been having some crazy heat!  So mommy & daddy don't let me get crazy until it's dark.  We'll have some pawesome camping pics in a few weeks!

I'm a BIG boy!

On the move.......

Well we've done it!  We've moved!  I'm no longer a condo pup!  I'm now a townhouse pup with a BACKYARD!! yahoo!!  Mom didn't have a lot of pics of me helping move in, uh because I was working so hard, yes that's it!  Actually mommy took me to playgroup for 2 afternoons while they moved things, and when I came out of playgroup they took me to my new home!  It's so fun! 

                                            This is me sleeping on the floor! 

                                The floor is nice & cool!  And the carpet is nice and dark! Sometimes I can be a dirty, dusty dog (hey I like rolling in dirt what can I say?) and now my dirt won't show up on the carpet as much! yay!

       My second favorite spot is the kitchen!   Here I am getting ready to help mom cook up some grub!

Mommy & daddy have started taking me to school!  The teacher and everyone like me a lot!  I'm a good boy!  They laugh because sometimes, towards the end of class, I fall asleep!  School is hard work I tell ya!  And with class being from 7 - 8 and my bed time is 7:45, well it's hard for a little guy to keep his eyes open!

And last but not least - to show how handsome I am ;o)  My playgroup friend took this picture of me.  They all love me there!

Crazy busy!

Well mom says things have been crazy busy!  So she hasn't had much time to post!

The good news is we're getting a new place to live!  Mom keeps telling me about "no stairs" to climb anymore, and something about a "yard" for me to play in!  I don't know what that is, but mom seems super excited about!

Here are some pics to show what a big boy I am getting to be!

Hmmm not sure why mom posted pics side ways, but she can't seem to figure out how to get them corrected.  So she's gonna leave them!

I'm 5 months old now!  Here are some of my favorite things to do:

1.  I love puppy park!  I have a best friend, her name is Jilly, she's a labradoodle!  We love to bite each other on the scruff!

2.  I love play group!  I've only been twice, but it's the best!  And mom says she likes it because a good puppy is a tired puppy.  Pfffttt whatever!

3.  I love camping!  But camping doesn't love me!  We are trying to figure out what I'm allergic to, pine trees maybe?  But I still had fun, even though I got lots of bumpies on my skin when we came home!

4.  I love my mom and dad!  They're the best ;o)

Milo's mommy posts

I love reading blogs.  I especially love reading "dog" blogs.  I came across a post today, from the blog "Pittieful Love".  They put their pittie to rest in February.  They are still dealing with the grief of losing what they call their "Heart Dog".  

On their blog they have a post that talks about their grief and where they're at now with it.  And I was touched by a scene from a movie that they quoted, it totally resonated with me:



Becca (Nicole Kidman) has been numb with grief since Danny, her 4-year-old, was killed by a car. Now, eight months later, her mother, Nat (Dianne Wiest) — whose son, Becca’s brother, died at 30 — is helping Becca to put away, finally, the little boy’s things.

Becca and Nat carry the milk crates of Danny’s stuff down to the basement, and put them in the corner with a few other things Becca has put aside.

Becca stands there, taking it in. Danny’s been reduced to a small corner of stuff in the basement. She lets out a breath, then turns to her mother.

BECCA: Does it ever go away?
NAT: What.
BECCA: This feeling.
They lock eyes. Nat can see she actually wants an answer. Maybe for the first time ever.
NAT: No. I don’t think it does. Not for me, it hasn’t. And that’s goin’ on 11 years.

(Beat)

It changes, though.

Happy Mother's day!

Mama said...pack your bags Milo!

Yep that's what she told me Saturday morning, pack your bags Milo!  Now I thought she was kickin' me out, but it turns out we were going on a road trip!  Mama and Daddy took me to La Jolla for an over nighter ;o)  They said they wanted to start me out young taking me on trips, especially since I'm such a good boy, but they wanted to train me to be even better on trips!

So the 3 of us jumped in the car and headed down south for some r&r!

We drove for a long time, well to me it seemed long, but really it was only an hour!  Then daddy parked and we walked around a bit!  Here are some pics!

Once we finished walking around mommy and daddy decided they were hungry!  We met a nice doggy walking and we asked her daddy if there was anything good to eat where I could go too!  And he said YES!  So we went to a place called Cody's so mom and dad could have brunch!  And while they ate, I sat like a good boy under the table!  The nice lady who seated us brought me a bowl of water AND a cookie!!  Boy was I happy!

Then we left and headed to our hotel!  If you're ever in the area, check out Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, they love dogs there!  Or maybe they just loved me ;o)  Anyhow I was so pooped once we got there that this is what I did.......

Once I was done sleeping I got out to play, there was a nice grass area right outside our hotel room!  Perfect for potty trips!   Here we are just hanging out on our grass!

Then my uncle & auntie came over to the hotel and we all had room service!  Well, ok just the people had room service!  I ate my kibble!

Then it was lights out because I was one tired pooch!

It's official, I'm a boxer dog ;P

I'm sleeping in this picture.  I was snuggled up against my mom.  And then when I woke up mommy said, it's official........MILO YOU ARE A BOXER!  lol Apparently I have stinky toots and I snore like a trucker, definite signs of a Boxer dog ;p  At least I'm cute!

           This is my new bff!  Her name is Dreamy, she's an older gal!  Boy are we going to have fun this summer! Camping & going to bonfires at the beach!  I can't wait ;o)

Thousand Picture Thursday

Up all night....

Napping makes a tummy feel better!

I've been pretty good about sleeping through the night ever since I first came to my new house.  But boy did someone put something in my training treats yesterday, or maybe I just ate too many! whew!  Mommy was up all night with me cause I had what she called the squirts!  I was not a happy camper that's for sure, and neither was mommy!  But she was patient and took me out each hour until soon my tummy felt all better!   And today I feel like a new pup!   Although I did get to nap all day, but mommy didn't ;o(

This is how we do it....

This is daddy and me.  Just chillin.  The boys just hanging out being boys, snoring away ;o)  This is how we do it, until........mid afternoon when I get crazy ants in my pants!  Then I'm a little whirling dervish!

1 week closer to seeing you in Heaven

Mommy says it's been 1 week today, since big brother went to heaven.  So today's post is all about him!  I'm happy to share my blog so that you can read about this handsome and wonderful pup that I call BIG BROTHER!


Mom says Rocket was born on Valentine's day in 2002!  He was a big strapping guy!  But mommy says that she was bad and would feed him too much people food ;o)  What a lucky brother!

Mommy says that one of brother's favorite things EVER was to root for his favorite football team!  THE JETS!  He'd sometimes get dressed up in his jersey with Dad!  And they'd watch the guys play!  Sounds like fun!  Can't wait to get my Jets puppy jersey!

Daddy says that he loved my brother lots and lots!   And that I've got some big paws to fill!  

After 10years and 2 months of being loved more than a dog could ever imagine, my big brother went to play in Heaven, where mommy says he's running and playing just like he did when he was a totally healthy pup!  And we can't wait to see him again!!  And this week........we're 1 week closer to being with him forever.  Love you big brother, even though I didn't meet you.........I know we'd be the best of buds.

Day 4

Here I sit on day 4 of my new life with Dad & Mom.  As you can see in the pic above, I'm helping mommy blog.  She stayed home from work today to spend time with me, I thought that was great!  So far it's rained a few times, and mom says it seems like I don't mind the rain.  Although it does get a little bit cold!  Mommy & Daddy bought me a jacket, but I still need to grow in to a bit.  The small was too small, but the medium was too big ;o)  but mom says I will grow in to it soon!

I met my new Dr on Tuesday! He's really nice, and he took good care of my big brother before he went to heaven!  So mommy said that he will take really good care of me too!  And that Dr Ivers will be one of my best friends because he's a BOXER guy ;o)

I've met a lot of the neighbors around here!  Everyone knows mommy & daddy because of their "neighborhood dog" Rocket!  Everyone knew my big brother, so they've welcomed me with open arms!!  People have left cards, and flowers for mommy & daddy because they wanted to make their hearts feel better.  Their hearts hurt bad because Rocket is not here any more.  BUT I'm here now and they said that I (Milo the great!) take some of their pain away!  And you know what?  They don't seem to spill water from their eyes as much since I've gotten here!  So that's a good thing!!   And when the water works start I just give them kisses and let them know that I'm here and everything will be ok!

Well more later on the PAWsome people I've met!
